Chairing Events

Chairing Events

The Chairman may not be a speaker as such, but still has to do a lot of speaking, as well as keeping everyone in order!

As Chairman, you are responsible for getting things started. You call for attention, say appropriate words of welcome, and set the tone.

You then outline the events of the day; introduce the speakers; thank the speakers for their contributions; announce breaks and times for resumption; and wrap things up neatly at the end.

As chairman you are in charge.
