It is essential to be fully aware of the main purpose of the presentation, whether it is to win business, to gain support, or to impart information.

This course helps you to deliver a presentation that will do what you want it to do, for both experienced and inexperienced speakers, or for a team.

In this course we cover the following:

  1. Audience or client assessment.
  2. Purpose of the presentation.
  3. Length of presentation and ground to be covered.
  4. Gathering the material for the presentation.
  5. Putting the material together, bearing in mind the needs and desires of the audience and who (if any) the competition is.
  6. The need to refer to the information you have been given.
  7. The types of approach to be considered.
  8. How to open the presentation.
  9. How to close the presentation.
  10. How to make the presentation flow (use of language, metaphor, illustration, concrete expressions, transitional phrases).
  11. Controlling nervousness.
  12. Answering questions.
  13. Delivery and changeovers between speakers.
  14. Notes - preparation and use.
  15. Non-verbal communication and body language.
  16. Best use of visual aids.

The course includes use of the video camera, to coach you and your team, and to give you the opportunity to practise. Playback and evaluation are carried out constantly.

Length of course: 6 hours in total (two or three sessions)

Cost of course: £1200 + VAT for 1 person, £750 + VAT each for a group of up to four people (minimum 2 people)

Clients taking this course will receive a 2-DVD set on the subject of public speaking in all its aspects at no additional charge.
